Envisioning & Leading Change

Adaptive change is a term coined by Harvard leadership guru and writer Ron Heifitz referring to deep organizational change – changing values, ideas or ways of doing things.  Five keys to leading adaptive change – and doing so with an open heart – is the topic of the article by Ronald A. Heifetz and Marty Linsky, "Leading with an Open Heart".

What business are we in and how do leaders focus and align everything around it? Jim Collins introduced “The Hedgehog Concept” and three dimensions critical for great organizations and leaders. Warning: the hedgehog concept talks about the “economic” driver – but that is relevant for sustainable, financially viable nonprofits as well. You all have business models too. Nifty animal parable too.
