First-time applicant or past grantee/applicant that did not receive funding in the previous grant year, here's what you need to do:

1. If you believe your program or project fits within Girl's Best Friend Foundation funding guidelines, we encourage you to contact GBF at 312-266-2842 to discuss your program with GBF staff prior to submitting a Letter of Intent (LOI).



2. When you are ready to submit the initial application, please include the following:

• Letter of Intent



• GBF's Proposal Summary Sheet (access this document in our Resources section)



• Copy of your 501(c)(3) nonprofit determination letter, or a letter from your fiscal sponsor and a copy of their 501(c)(3)
