TERMS OF USE

This document describes the terms and conditions ("Terms of Use") which apply to your use of the Girl's Best Friend Foundation ("GBF") web site (the "Site"). Please take a moment to familiarize yourself with these Terms of Use as they contain important rules on the kinds of activities you can and cannot do while visiting our Site. PERMISSION TO USE SITE

The information on this Site is offered to help you learn more about the charitable activities of GBF and its grantees. We ask all our users to be responsible with respect to the transmission of information to this Site. You may not distribute, send, post or otherwise transmit to this Site any material or information that is defamatory, libelous, obscene, malicious, infringes another's proprietary rights or is otherwise unlawful. You are solely responsible for determining whether any material or information you submit to the Site violates the rights of others.

This Site contains the names, e-mail addresses and other contact information of various GBF employees and grantees. We provide you this information so that you may contact the appropriate person regarding specific questions or comments you may have about GBF or a particular grantee. In addition, our community forums may identify the names and e-mail addresses of users who post to our site. We prohibit the mass collection or distribution of this information for any reason and prohibit the use of it for purposes that are not reasonably related to the activities of GBF or its grantees.

The "for girls" area of the Site is intended only for girls under 21 years old. Use of this area of the Site by visitors older than 21 years of age is strictly prohibited. You may not use or collect any information whatsoever from minors who use this area of the Site.

GBF is always looking for ideas and comments on how to improve our Site, better serve our constituency and grantees. To help in those purposes, this Site provides users a variety of opportunities to submit suggestions. Please note that any material, ideas, comments or other information ("Content") you transmit to this Site will be treated as non-confidential and non-proprietary. By submitting Content to the Site, you (1) represent that you own or otherwise control all rights to the Content; (2) that you and not GBF have full responsibility for the legality of the Content; (3) that you grant GBF full proprietary rights in any such Content; and (4) that GBF is free to use and exploit, without duty of payment or accounting, any ideas, concepts, know-how, or techniques contained in the Content for any purpose whatsoever.

Please note that GBF does not review, edit or screen in advance the Content users post in the community forums available on or through this site. JURISDICTION, VENUE & GOVERNING LAW

Access and use of this Site occurs in the United States of America, State of Illinois. GBF makes no representation that the contents of the Site are appropriate or available for use in other locations, and those who choose to access this Site from other locations are solely responsible for compliance with their local laws.

Any claim relating to this Site and the materials contained herein is governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States of America, State of Illinois without regard to choice of law principles. You agree and hereby submit to the exclusive personal jurisdiction and venue of the state and federal courts of Illinois with respect to such matters.
