Summary and recommendations from focus groups and surveys of 43 Chicago-area youth programs. The youth workers reported their practices, questions, concerns, and funding experiences in providing safe space for LGBTQ youth in their community-based organizations. The paper documents why much work remains to be done by youth-serving organizations and grantmakers. The project was commissioned by GBF, Crossroads Fund, and the Chicago Foundation for Women.
